The Daily Beast has a story about Rick Warren's good works in Africa with AIDS. Promoting abstinence instead of condoms. Hollering about gays and prostitutes. George Bush also put all his humanitarian eggs in that basket, in the same way. Why do evangelicals love Africa so much and care so much about AIDS over there? More than here, even, maybe. And why does Africa need religion more than science? Don't they already have that ratio pretty well in hand? It's not that Africa is a place with lots and lots of easy (starving) converts, is it? Change. Hope. Jesus saves. God hates fags and rubbers.
