HR 676 (CONYERS) - Healthcare For All Americans
The United States National Health Insurance Act establishes an American a single payer health care system. The bill would create a publically financed, privately delivered health care program that uses the already existing Medicare program by expanding and improving it to all U.S. residents, and all residents living in U.S. territories. The goal of the legislation is to ensure that all Americans, guaranteed by law, will have access to the highest quality and cost effective health care services regardless of one’s employment, income, or health care status.

I believe that this Health Care Plan will have the same fate as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Public Welfare, a complete failure that will require more and more of the taxpayer‘s money.
ReplyDeleteSome of the reasons that it will not flourish as promised by the all-knowing Congress are:
1- Where is the 600 Billions dollars coming from?
2- Numerous jobs lost from the now existing Health Care plans
3- Enormous amount of money lost in Health Care stocks
4- Unknown amount of money lost in office and other equipment
5- Where will the money go that the Health Care plans have invested in high-
rise office buildings for employees, equipment and members files?
6- Will the insurance rate be equal for everyone or will we pay on pro-rate
Basis?
7- What percentage of the medical cost (doctors & hospitals) will this plan pay?
8- Will employers stop giving Health Care after a period time as with Medicare?
9-Will plan tell doctors and hospital what amount of money can be charged.
10- Will government doctors make the decisions as to who your doctor will be, at what hospital, what treatments will be given, who will live and who will die?
11- Will equipment (wheelchair, braces, artificial limbs, etc.) be made available for little or no cost ?
The above are just the tip of the iceberg of concerns of Health Plan.
I hope the same persons who wrote the past stimulus plans and the budget plan are not involved with this endeavor to recreate something that is already in existence (Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, so on and so on). Many States have heath insurance for children at minimal cost and still have a difficult time getting parents to sign up for the insurance.
I hope oversight will be written in the bill. Medicare and Medicaid have been plagued with fraud because of very little and inadequate oversight and policing.
Oh, I almost forgot, what about Dental insurance?
