Palin Rally

Just left the Palin rally, I mean Saxby Chambliss rally, which was held at the James Brown Arena here in Augusta. People held signs with messages from "Saxby for my Future" to "Save my Gun." The crowd remained fairly mild mannered compared to some Palin stops, but we did get some nasty stares from nearby citizens. The stares came mostly due to our (Jill's) shouting of select phrases, such as reminders that Saxby voted against the GI Bill for military vets, and "Keep abortion safe and legal!" We didn't get knifed or shot after that, so I figure we did alright.

Apparently most of my videos are too big for Blogspot to handle, so here's one of all the empty seats, and hopefully I'll get more up later.

  1. that was a very quiet rally. sarah palin wouldn't get more specific than georgia; she didn't say augusta once. use white-out or pencil if you can't remember in your head. seriously, tricks like that help win elections. two middle-aged republican men said i'm as pretty as sarah! two middle-aged republican women said i'm not. but two young republican women thought i was in a band. awesome. thanks. hi andrew and bebe!

  2. also a shout out to the musical choices. the crowd was warmed up with "fat bottom girls." be happy, sound guy or chick- we all heard it. i think i saw saxby singing along. (that last sentence was a lie. but he was poppin and lockin and droppin with sarah. that's a lie too. he can't pop and lock or drop. his knee, remember? he couldn't even go to vietnam. and he was young then.)
